Happy Halloween!
So it's Little Buckets first Halloween and we were so excited to put her in her costume and stay home! Ha! It was still fun. We had Rach and Jer down for the weekend from Utah-Student Doc's sister, and their little girl. It's been fun. So we got together with the Rasmussens and enjoyed some home made soup and scones and good company! It was a good time.
Little Bucket is now a hefty 13 pounds and 23 inches long! She doesn't have to be on special formula anymore and she gets to have some juice now and then. It's so exciting to see her hit her milestones. The Doc said that she's not behind in the slightest- which is awesome because she was so little when she was born. I look at her pictures from when we brought her home and I can't believe it's the same baby. She looks like her, but she's bigger....somehow, it's the same.
Student Doc is done with blocks for this section, and boy am I glad that he's done for a while! It seems like this year they just don't get a break. They just keep piling it on..and on..and on. It's ridiculous! Sometimes it ends up more than just him dealing with the stress of testing. I guess it's just going to get worse, we have the first set of board exams coming up this summer..ready or not here it comes.
We're looking forward to spending our first Thanksgiving with Daisey at home. We're going to get together with a few friends that aren't going to be able to make it home either. It should be a good time! Christmas is coming too, and it will be interesting to see how the three weeks Student Doc has off work out. We'll have a good time, no doubt.
So here we go, looking forward to the Holiday season, making memories for the first time with Daisey, and of course looking forward to the day that we get to be with her forever! (Thanks mom, for the beautiful dress!) THAT day, will be worth all the wait...
you know it's been a good post when you get your cold-hearted sister to cry. I can't wait for your 6 months to be up and everything be a sealed deal.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm VERY glad that this new week has begun for you and Student-doc. You two deserve a little break, thank heaven Christmas is coming!
